Purpose:
Free organic compost (up to a maximum of 1 ton/arpent) is provided to small registered farmers under the Compost Subsidy Scheme.
Objective:
To enable farmers utilizing non chemical fertilizers (compost) to improve the quality of agricultural land for sustainable agriculture, to reduce production costs and to promote production of chemical free agricultural products for the benefit of consumers.

§ Compost is provided up to a maximum of five arpents to farmers as follows:

§ In view of the budget earmarked for the Scheme, the compost is delivered on a first come first serve basis.
§ A voucher is issued to eligible planters, who have to present the same to the supplier to take delivery of their respective compost.
Eligibility Criteria:
§ The farmer must be registered with the Fund
§ Holder of valid title deed / lease agreement for the land under cultivation
Mode of application:
§ Applicants must submit their duly filled in Compost Application Forms at the SFWF Head Office at Saint Pierre or at its sub-offices together with the following documents
