sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><\/p><p>Funding to the tune of <strong>Rs 3 million<\/strong> have been provided in the National Budget 2016\/17 to provide incentive for milk production.<\/p><p><strong>Objective:<\/strong><\/p><p>To provide a stimulus to small cow breeders to take <strong>better care of their heifers up to lactation period<\/strong> so as to boost up milk production<\/p><p><strong>Features:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>A cash grant of Rs 5000 will be provided to all <strong>small dairy cows<\/strong> breeders registered with the SFWF for each of their heifers they have successfully reared up to the lactating period for a maximum of 40 cows per breeder<\/li><li>It would normally take <strong>27 months<\/strong> for the <strong>heifer after birth<\/strong>, [i.e <strong>9 months after the Artificial Insemination<\/strong> (AI)] to <strong>start lactating<\/strong><\/li><li>In this connection, the Scheme <strong>applies for all calves born as from 30 March 2014<\/strong> and thereon which would <strong>start lactating as from June 2016 (i.e the start of FY 2016\/17)<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Conditions:<\/strong><\/p><p>The Scheme will apply only to dairy cows and not beef type cows.<\/p><ul><li>Breeders who have use Natural Service for conception would be eligible under the Scheme provided the DVS certify that the heifer is of milch type.<\/li><li>In view of the funding provided in National Budget 2016\/17 and administrative fee that would be required by the SFWF to operate the Scheme, the proposed cash grant of Rs 5,000 will be paid to a maximum of 560 cows.<\/li><li>The Scheme will be extended on a first come first serve basis<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/p><p>Small dairy cow breeders registered with the efficiency and productivity, hence boosting up agricultural production.<\/p><p><strong>Features:<\/strong><\/p><p>The Scheme provides farmers refund of the 15% Value Added Tax paid on their purchase of equipment, machines, spare parts, etc.<\/p><p>The relevant list of equipment can be viewed for small farmers at the 12th Schedule of the VAT Act. Sous lequel une allocation sera octroy\u00e9e aux agro processors pour l\u2019acquisition des codes \u00e0 barres pour leurs produits.<\/li><li>L&#8217;objectif de ce programme est de rendre les produits agro-industriels plus commercialisables et d&#8217;aider les petits agro-processeurs \u00e0 exploiter d\u2019avantage des march\u00e9s telles que les hypermarch\u00e9s et les march\u00e9s d&#8217;exportation.<\/li><li>Le BCAS sera op\u00e9r\u00e9 en collaboration avec la Commission de l\u2019Agriculture de Rodrigues.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>2. Qu\u2019est qu\u2019un Code \u00e0 Barres?<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Les codes \u00e0 barres sont des symboles qui peuvent \u00eatre scann\u00e9s \u00e9lectroniquement \u00e0 l&#8217;aide de syst\u00e8mes laser ou \u00e0 cam\u00e9ra. Ils sont utilis\u00e9s pour encoder des informations telles que les num\u00e9ros de produit, les num\u00e9ros de s\u00e9rie et les num\u00e9ros de lot.<\/li><li>Pour la R\u00e9publique de Maurice, le GS1 (MAURITIUS) LTD, travaillant avec la Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), est la seule organisation autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 allouer des codes \u00e0 barres GS1 uniques aux op\u00e9rateurs commerciaux.<\/li><li>Les codes \u00e0 barres GS1 jouent un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans les cha\u00eenes d&#8217;approvisionnement, permettant aux parties comme les d\u00e9taillants, les fabricants, etc de mettre en oeuvre la tra\u00e7abilit\u00e9 des produits tout au long de la cha\u00eene d&#8217;approvisionnement ainsi que de g\u00e9rer leur stock.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3. Allocation Payable<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Les agro processeurs b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront d\u2019 une allocation \u2018one off\u2019 de maximum Rs 10,000 sous le BCAS, pour financer:<ol><li>Les \u00e9tiquette code \u00e0 barres pour un minimum de 1 000 produits.<\/li><li>Les frais d\u2019enregistrement au GS1(MAURITIUS) LTD pour la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Le BCAS sera op\u00e9rationnelle selon le principe de \u2018premier venu, premier servi \u2019 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 \u00e9puisement des fonds pr\u00e9vu \u00e0 cet effet.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>3. veterinary medicines, in accordance with the <strong>list of medicines<\/strong> approved by the <strong>Veterinary Services<\/strong> of the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security. <strong>(LVD)<\/strong><\/li><li>Farmers will pay the full cost of the medicines directly to the suppliers and then apply for the corresponding subsidy from the Small Farmers Welfare Fund (SFWF).<\/li><li>The necessary documents specific to each type of intervention must be submitted with the application, along with the documents mentioned on page \u2026<\/li><li>The veterinary medicines purchased must comply with the recommendations of <strong>veterinaries registered<\/strong> with the <strong>Mauritius Veterinary Council<\/strong>.<\/li><li>A duly signed and stamped SFWF.<\/li><li>The farmer must provide:<\/li><\/ul><ol><li>All necessary permits obtained from the competent authorities.<\/li><li>An estimate from a duly registered company that has performed or food.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Objective:<\/strong><\/p><p>To provide grant to agro processors under\u00a0<b>the Accompanying Measures for the Livestock Sector (AMLS)<\/b>\u00a0to meet with the costs of:<\/p><ol><li>Milk<\/li><li>Feed<\/li><li>Water Testing<\/li><\/ol><p>at the Food Technology Laboratory (FTL) of the Ministry of Agro Industry and Food Security.<\/p><p><strong>Features:<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>According to the FTL there is a need for both chemical &amp; microbiological tests to ensure supply of non-adulterated milk and safe food for The additional criteria, to decide between cases of ex-aequos are as follows:<ul><li>Types of farming activity undertaken by the applicant\u2019s responsible party, whether full time or part time farmer, whereby full time farmers is given priority of consideration.<\/li><li>Number of children attending primary or secondary or tertiary institutions in the applicant\u2019s family. Family with the highest number is given priority of consideration.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Remunerations: <\/strong>A monthly stipend is payable to each trainee.
