Family Fun Day - 4 August 2016

The SFWF held its Family Fun Day on 4 August 2016 at Pte Jéròme Youth Centre, Mahebourg. Some 350 small farmers and their families took part in the function and benefitted from the various ativies organised for them. These included: Film projection for the children, Face painting, Bread eating competition, Feed the cow, Snakes and ladders, Tug of war, Jumping jack, Penalty kick, Musical chair competition, and other interesting activities amongst others.

Kids Club - Mauritius

​A Kids Club event consisting of an educational tour was held on 6 February 2015.  The eligible farmer’s children aged from 7 to 12 years and one parent had the opportunity to visit La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes Nature Park also known as Crocodile Park. The outing concluded with a lunch arranged by the SFWF at Saint Felix Public Beach

Honourable Mahen Kumar Seeruttun,Minister of Agro-Industry & Food Security, officially launched the Incentive for Milk Production Scheme on 2nd March 2017 at the Hindu House, Triolet.

The Strategic Plan 2016-2020 for the Food Crop, Livestock and Forestry sectors, which sets the objectives to improve the level of food security and food safety and promote a more sustainable agriculture in Mauritius was presented by the Hon. Mahen Kumar Seeruttun, Minister of Agro Industry & Food Security
