(ii) Only 10% down payment to be made by planters on the remaining cost.

50 % grant (Max Rs 20,000/arpent) to produce perennial fodder and maize up to a maximum of 25 arpents.

50 % Grant up to a (Max of Rs 50,000/head) to purchase heifer/cows of genetically improved breeds (Max 10 heads).

Goat / Sheep Breeding
50 % Grant (Max Rs 15,000/head) to purchase of goats/sheep of genetically improved breed (Max 25 heads).

Rebate on the exportation freight costs of 25% to be shared equally amongst exporters and producers on selected fruits, vegetables and flowers

Bio Farming Promotion Scheme
(i) Loan facilities at an annual interest rate of Key Repo Rate less 1 % (presently 3.4%) over a period of ten years for a maximum of 90% project financing under the MauBank SME Development Scheme.
(ii) Income Tax Holiday for the first eight years of operation of approved Bio-Farming Project.
(iii) Value Added Tax Exemption on production equipment and other inputs acquired for the implementation of the project.
